Mulberry Hall
We'd been concerned for a while about Mulberry Hall's old website - it looked out of date and wasn't doing any real business. So they asked us to come up with some concepts for a new site.
Mulberry Hall have thousands (maybe tens of thousands) of items for sale, so a large part of the brief was to develop a site and a system that would allow staff to source imagery or do the photography themselves. We felt that using a variety of style of photographs would just end up a mess, so our first recommendation was to use cut outs. This would allow them to use existing product imagery, while retaining a consistent look and feel.
As we're designers not techies, the actual build of the website was done by HCI in York. We worked closely with them to develop a template that would incorporate all the bizarre vagaries of their database. The site is still expanding - you can see it here.
